As part of the council’s objective to improve biodiversity and to promote health and well-being, residents living on Heron Walk were approached to find out if they were interested in setting up a Community Garden, in one of the raised beds.
The overwhelming response was positive, and residents welcomed the idea. After obtaining permission from Ashford Borough Council who also supported the idea, the parish stewards prepared the area ready for planting.
Whilst we welcome residents from Heron Walk to help, other residents from the parish are also welcome to volunteer.
We would love to hear what residents would like to see growing there, so please do get in touch and let us know. The parish council will arrange a supply of any seeds or bulbs.
